Your hosts for your stay are Detral Hall and Kenya Hill. We have been hosting rentals on Airbnb, Vrbo, and Booking.com for over 8 years. We have the designation of Super Hosts on Airbnb and 2026 Traveler Review Award from Booking.com
We will do my best to live by the Golden Rule – Do unto others as
you would have done to you. This means giving all of our guests
exceptional accommodations, attentiveness, and respect.

Our Spaces
Both properties are approximately 1500 square feet in size. A large main living area combines the kitchen and dining areas. A full range of kitchen appliances and a 55″ smart TV is ready for your streaming subscriptions. There is a 40" smart TV in each bedroom. Each rental has a washer and dryer, and a bathroom in the hallway is available. Plenty of outdoor space allows the kids to run and tire themselves out while you watch from the patio sipping your favorite drink.
Our French Country Homes also feature a King Master Suite with a private attached bathroom; a Queen Bed; and a Twin bed with a popup trundle. They are both located on very peaceful and quiet dead-end streets. Shadows on the Teche, Rip Van Winkle Gardens, and the Tabasco Factory are only 10 minutes away in New Iberia. While Downtown Lafayette is only 12 minutes away. Just about anywhere you want to go in Acadiana is within a 15 minute drive.
For our Medical Professionals, our three hospitals in Lafayette: Ochsner's Lafayette General, Our Lady of Lourdes, and Heart Hospital are all 10 minutes away.
Lafayette Regional Airport is also 10 minutes away.

At Country Cottage-Broussard, you are in the center of Acadiana: Zoo of Acadiana is 3 miles away; Youngsville Sports Complex is 7 miles away; Shadows on the Teche, Rip Van Winkle Gardens, and the Tobasco Factory are only 10 miles away in New Iberia. While Downtown Lafayette is only 12 miles away. Just about anywhere you want to go in Acadiana is within a 15 minute drive.

At both Country Cottage and Hometown Hideaway, you can enjoy the best of both worlds. You have the country vibe while being only minutes away from fast foods, grocery stores, and other points of interest. If you love nature, Country Cottage is the place for you. Sit and enjoy watching the squirrels run up and down the big pecan tree in the front yard. There are chickens, roosters, and a huge turkey right across the street to add to your entertainment. However, if nature is not your thing, Hometown Hideaway puts you in the center of town. You are right off the main thoroughfare and blocks away from Broussard's Main Street where you can get one of Broussard's treasures: Brain Freeze Snowballs!!!
